Ss Peter and Paul Fall Festival
Festival time is here and kicking off the season is Ss Peter and Paul. Everyone is invited to join us in Independence for the festivies, great food and the comaradarie parish life. It's sure to be a good time. Here's some reminders:
THE BRIDGE WILL BE OPEN TO ALL LOCAL TRAFFIC, excluding heavy trucks. The road project has gratefully reminded on or ahead of schedule, so both lanes of traffic will be open across Elk Creek. Parts of Highway 93 will remain closed so you will have to use Elm Street and Ash Street to get around, but the long detours are to be over for the Festival.
THE SAMPLE PAINTING IN THE CHURCH WILL BE FINISHED. The artists have be hard at it for two weeks to finished the two sample areas in the church. One is in the sactuary around and above the Presider's Chair. The other is near the Sacred Heart side altar between the stained glass window and the door. Stop by and take a look. Representatives from the Restoration Committee and Keys and Swords Campaign Committe will be present to offer tours and answer questions during the Festival.

Food, refreshments, Bean Bag Tournament, Attendance Raffle and more. Attendance Raffle tickets can be purchased for $10.00 each at the School Office, Parish Office Pietrek Service Station or contact Ann Miemietz @ 715-985-3432. Hope to see you there!
