The Ascension of the Lord
Forty Days after the Resurrection, the Ascension of the Lord takes place while the Apostles watch in wonder. Though Jesus absence is a cause of sorrow, the fulfillment of His mission in the Father's plan for our salvation is a cause of joy. Therefore, we relish the ten days of anticipation for the coming of the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost. May the Spirit come quickly and not delay.
