St. Agnes Guild at 104 Mayflower St., West Hartford, CT 06110 US - ST AGNES FAMILY CENTER, INC. - HISTORY

1912 - Archbishop requested a Guild be formed to help build and provide ongoing support to St. Agnes Home. 1914 - Home opened by Sisters of Mercy in West Hartford. 1970's - Home became affiliated with St. Francis Hospital. 1980's - Programs expanded to serve adolescent parents and their infants. 1990's - Relocated to present site on Mayflower Sreet in West Hartford. 2000 - The only licensed provider of mother and infant residential care amd supported independent living in Connecticut. Please consider this ministry by becoming a member or a representative for your parish. Membership letters are distributed in May. You may take the summer to address the letters to members of your Parish. Letters are collected in September and bulk mailed by the Guild. Just a few hours of your time will help support the Home giving young mothers the choice of having their baby with no cost to you! What a task of love! Don't miss this chance to speak out for the innocent babies. Let's give every Soul that God sends the Right to Life. Help the children get the right start in life by being born healthy. Help their mom's get a new start with counseling, learning parenting skills and an education to help break the cycle of poverty and abuse that happens in this world. There is an old Ethiopian proverb that says when spider webs unite they can tie up a lion! Together we can fight to save our children and give them a good life!
