We will entertain you with a program honoring our 2012 Woman of the Year. We’re sure you’ll enjoy the many wonderful raffle and door prizes (don’t forget to bring along a supply of those handy return address labels so you can take full advantage of the raffle auction items!). The food will be delicious, but the fun and laughter of good friends sharing a good visit will be the highlight.

St. Alexander Council of Catholic Women at 300 S Cornell Avenue, Villa Park, IL 60181 US - About Us
About Us
St. Alexander Council of Catholic Women is actually two years older than the parish itself, and thus pre-dates the original church, fondly called "The Wooden Ark". We endeavor to provide spiritual and educational support for all women of the parish. Affiliated with the Joliet Diocesan CCW and the National Council of Catholic Women, established at the request of the bishops of the US, we also serve as the 'voice' of all parish women in these organizations.
Our services to the parish include:
- Hosting a luncheon for the elderly and handicapped of the parish after the parish's annual "Mass of the Anointing".
- Sponsoring an annual Blood Drive to insure that all parishioners will have an adequate supply of blood, if needed.
- Giving all parishioners an opportunity to thank our priests, sister, and deacons and their wives for the gift of their vocation to our church at a yearly Vocation Appreciation luncheon.
Our services to the wider church and community include:
- Reverence for Life activities.
- An active Prison Ministry program, particularly to victim-less incarcerated women and their children.
Our services to parish women include:
- An annual Mass for the intentions of the living and deceased women of the parish.
- A Communion Sunday, followed by a continental breakfast and Morning of Recollection.
- Prayer liturgies prior to each general meeting.
- Serving as the 'voice' of St. Alexander women in deanery, diocesan and national rings of the Council of Catholic Women.
