St. Andrew Catholic church is the only catholic parish on the Island of Chincoteague, Virginia. The parish was founded in 1977 and the church is an historical building which was purchased at that time. There are 125 families in the parish and we rely on the generosity of the visitors to our island to maintain our church during the off season. We invite all tourist to come and worship with us or to stop by for daily mass. It is always a pleasure to meet our visitors. It is our prayer that all tourists will leave Chincoteague refreshed in body and spirit. (The church has wheelchair access.)
