Holy Spirit dynamite invaded St. A's on Sept. 26 & 27 as Fr. Trevor Nathasingh, one of our very favorite speakers here, joined us for a sober look at what is going on around us in the world, in our country & the Church. He spoke on Friday night to the Singles at BLD on the charismatic gift of tongues & how it opens the door to all the other gifts. And we need to USE every gift God has given us at this time as all the demons of hell have been loosed to bring destruction to our way of life & to our Church. Fr. Trevor dealt with the issues of the day head-on for he always tells it "like it is". We looked at what  is really going on, who is behind it & whom the powers of darkness are using. In the afternoon we focused on what God is asking us to do now. We need to USE the gifts, pray & fast as never before. We need to sing & praise our God for the war is won even though we are in a battle. It is a battle for souls & we need to intercede, intercede, intercede. Not only did we stop, look & listen as we viewed the witness of Ned Dougherty & a video of young people in CA using the gift of healing with spectacular results (Why not in NJ??!!!), but we also did.  People stepped out & prayed over one another  & then broke into groups to learn how to run a cell group to prepare for the days when we will possibly be obliged to go underground again. It was a powerful day. And Sunday we were encouraged to keep doing what we are doing here, LSS, BIble Study & our great gift of the Sunday liturgy which is a beacon for  what all Sunday Masses could & should be...full of joy & reverence & the resurrection life. There are CD's available but they nowhere near compare to the privilege of having been there.
