“Ordinary Women Doing Extraordinary Things” 2008-2009 PRESIDENTS REPORT As our motto states, we truly are doing “extraordinary” things as the Council of Catholic Women for the In addition to being with the NJDCCW, these outstanding women also use their time & talents as CCD teachers, Eucharistic Ministers, Bereavement Ministries, and RCIA groups; there is always something going on in our many parish’s. Our ladies have supported a girl’s orphanage with monetary gifts to assist in their many needs. They have worked in their parish communities collecting for pregnancy centers, participated in the Camp I am Special Fashion Show, volunteered in nursing homes, provided lunches to the elderly, bought gifts for those in need from our many Angel Tree’s at Christmas, brought coffee & donuts to migrant workers in the fields, made cards for the residents of All Saint’s Nursing Home.......whew, these are fabulous women! Our involvements continue with the hosting of Breakfast with Santa, Easter Egg Hunts, Parish Picnics, St. Patrick’s Day Dinners, Grandparents Day Breakfasts, Halloween Celebrations, Valentine Dances & International Pot Luck Meals & Hosting Coffee & Donuts after Sunday Mass. We have hosted First Holy Communion, Confirmation, & RCIA Receptions. And we do it with smiles & love for our fellow parishioner’s. As you can see, our ladies have been extremely busy with the giving of their many talents and all the while we continue to care for our own families as well as work outside of the home.
