The Board of Directors of the National Council of Catholic Women issued the following press release: The National Council of Catholic Women (NCCW) and its affiliated members throughout the United States and the world are committed to preserving life at all ages and stages, from the unborn to the elderly, from the immigrant family to those living on death row – all persons must be treated with compassion and love. Their right to life with dignity must be preserved. The NCCW stands with the United States Catholic bishops in promoting the seven principles of Catholic Social Teaching. NCCW will work to ensure that all members are familia r with the principles and will continue action to implement them in affiliate programming.
