Thank you for your interest in St. Cornelius School. Enclosed you will find some material on the school and its programs for your review.

            St. Cornelius is a Catholic Elementary School. We believe in the dignity of every child, instilling in each a positive self-image, respect of one another and a belief in Christian values. The teachers and the staff use our tools, Christian principles, critical thinking skills and self motivation to encourage our students to be contributing members of our society. As a mirror of our society, the student body reflects a rich mixture of ethnic backgrounds.

            Our integrated curriculum focuses on fundamental skills for all levels, Kindergarten through 8^th grade. Our core curriculum consists of Religion, Mathematics, Language Arts, Social Studies, and Science. In addition we offer Music, Physical Education, Art, and other enrichment courses necessary for our students to meet the challenges of a modern society.

            Our Elementary Grades (K through 5) are in self contained classrooms. The Middle School program (6, 7, and8) rotates teachers throughout the day. We offer advanced placement Algebra along with a challenging core curriculum of Science, Social Studies and English. We take special pride in the values based on Religious Studies program that we offer.

            We have a full day Kindergarten program. We have three distinct playground areas for the students to play. Our gym with its beautiful oak floor is the best in the area.
