January 22

Psalms 139: 13-18

13
You formed my inmost being; you knit me in my mother's womb.
14
I praise you, so wonderfully you made me; wonderful are your works! My very self you knew;
15
5 my bones were not hidden from you, When I was being made in secret, fashioned as in the depths of the earth.
16
Your eyes foresaw my actions; in your book all are written down; my days were shaped, before one came to be.
17
How precious to me are your designs, O God; how vast the sum of them!
18
Were I to count, they would outnumber the sands; to finish, I would need eternity.

On January 22, 2010 it will be 37 years since the tragic Roe, vs. Wade decision was made by the Supreme Court.

Our nation mourns the loss of nearly 50 million precious babies! That is about one abortion every 20 seconds!

WARNING....Graphic picture on the below website!

This touches my heart very deeply and I would like to share this story with you.  Maybe some of you have seen this before but I am happy to say that Google had the picture and the story!

Please view this site only if you are able to look at a graphic picture of a tiny baby's hand reaching out from inside the uterus, grasping the surgeon's gloved finger!   Awesome!  With all due respect , from your webmaster, Terri.

USA Today Photographer converted to Pro-life after taking foetal surgery photos

NASHVILLE, September 23, 2002 (LSN.ca) - The famous photo of baby Samuel's hand reaching out from the uterus of his mother at 21-weeks gestation during foetal surgery, has turned the veteran photo-journalist hired by USA Today for the shoot into a pro-life activist. Michael Clancy, who snapped the photo after seeing the baby's hand jut out of the hole in the womb made by the surgeons, now offers his image free of charge to pro-life groups.

On his website, Clancy explains that "During a spina bifida corrective procedure at twenty-one weeks in utero, Samuel thrusts his tiny hand out of the surgical opening of his mother's uterus. As the doctor lifts his hand, Samuel reacts to the touch and squeezes the doctor's finger. As if testing for strength, the doctor shakes the tiny fist. Samuel held firm. At that moment, I took this 'Fetal Hand Grasp' photo."

In his Mission Statement Clancy says he wants to "print the picture of Samuel on posters for donation to Crisis Pregnancy Centers," and billboards are next on the agenda. "If you think you could help in putting the picture of Samuel on billboards, preferably next to high schools and abortion clinics, please email me with your suggestions," writes Clancy.

For an update on how Samuel is doing, please go to the website below. It sure is a testimony of faith and what a gift faith is!
