Have you been away from the Church and just don’t know how to go about coming back home? Sometimes we are hurt due to an uncalled for comment by a fellow parishioner or we just can’t seem to get on the right track and we feel it is easier to go the road alone, sometimes it is because of a divorce that we turn away from the faith, feeling we are no longer welcome. If this is the case you are always welcome and will be welcomed back with open arms.
The Church does care about you and your eternal life with God. We wish you would come back and join us at the Eucharistic table of the Lord. Your seat is still open and we have been waiting for a long time. Jesus turns away from no one and is always waiting on you to turn to Him.
There is a wonderful picture of Our Lord standing at a door with His shepherds crook and a green pasture in the back of Him. He is at the door but stands waiting; if you look closely there is no door knob on the outside of the door where our Lord stands. Why is this? He is standing at the door of your heart and He knocks for you to open. Our Lord is there for you and wishes to help you but, like a true gentleman will never open the door and push Himself were He is not welcome. We must open the door of our hearts to Him and let Him come to us and heal us.
