Dear Parishoners, -- NEWS ALERT -- This newsletter is a Building Together progress report and an appeal for funds. The building committee has been meeting on a regular basis for over four years. As a small and growing mission, we are doing very well. The parishioners and visitors who have made a commitment to the Building Together fund raising campaign should feel very proud of what we have accomplished to this point. We are appealing to everyone to extend their pledge, make a new pledge, or give a one time donation. (no gift is too small) Your
Our parish offers us many blessings. We are also faced with challenges which arise because of continuous growth and the diversity of membership at St. Helena. The Building Committee meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month following the 6:00PM Mass. Please join us to participate in this important work for the Lord.
We are close to our goal... but we are not yet there. Before we can start construction, we will need about $1,100,000 in total pledges.
The fundraising campaign has received pledges of $1,190,343 from 201 families, with $1,074,927 paid to date, $115,416 remains to be paid. W
We will begin publishing more frequent financial reports. They will give you a better opportunity to follow the progress of both the Building Together pledge drive and the monthly income/expense status of the parish.
Ron Spencer, Building Committee Chairman, reminds us that we are in the fourth year of the building campaign, to build a new church.
Our small parish continues its steady progress towards this very large goal --
to build a new church, one that will allow our entire parish family to celebrate the Eucharist in one place… under one roof, all together, in one Spirit. When we build the new church, we will build the best church we can build, with the money we will have.
Please pray to St. Helena for her Help in Building a New Church

This picture is similar to the one in our church. It depicts St. Helena, mother of the Emperor Constantine, holding the True Cross. St. Helena is no stranger to the task of building a new church. Her son donated his Lateran Palace to the Pope in 311 AD. A basilica was built, St. John Lateran, the mother-church of Christendom, the parish church of all Catholics. Let us ask her to help us in our task.
The following prayer is reported to be one honoring St.Helena:
Almighty God, who called your servant Helena to an earthly throne so that she might advance your heavenly kingdom, and filled her with zeal for your Church and love for your people, Grant to us, your people, that we may be fruitful in good works, and steadfast in our faith in you and finally, by your mercy, may attain everlasting life, through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Sprit, one God, now and ever.
