St. James R. C. Church at 429 Route 25a E, Setauket, NY 11733 US - Baptismal Group

At St. James, Baptism is the initiation into the Christian Community. Preparation for Baptism includes an interview with a Deacon and is followed by a session with couples from the parish who share their time and faith with the parents of the children to be baptised. The host couples also take part in each child's baptismal ceremony Being a host couple of the baptismal group has been a very rewarding experience. It has been our pleasure to represent the parish in welcoming these children and their families to the St. James family and the family of God. We have watched children grow and subsequently see them in school and on ball fields.
