The deadline for the Victims Compensation Fund is December 22, 2003! The Special Master of the VCF, Kenneth Feinberg urges all eligible claimants to submit a claim as soon as possible and discourages waiting to the last minute. The Victims Compensation Fund was created by Congress and is available to individuals or relatives of those killed or severely injured as a result of the September 11th terrorist attacks. It is also available to non-citizens and non-U.S. residents. According to Mr. Feinberg, "Through in advertence or mistake you may miss the deadline, and there will be no exceptions to the filing deadline! The sooner a claim can be processed, the sooner an award can be rendered."
