By registering your child(ren) for RE at St. John Bosco Parish, you are choosing to enlist the SJB volunteer catechists’ help in your efforts to grow a fundamental Catholic Christian faith within him/her.  We are humbled and honored to help you with this faith formation.  Please know, however, that faith in Christ, though personal, is not a private experience.  Fellowship, learning and sharing our life in Christ, is a corporate experience.  In order to be successful in our efforts to catechize your child(ren), we need your commitment to the following:

1)      The children of our parish need the adults in their lives to show them a love of and the importance of active and consistent worship at Mass

2)      The Body of Christ is a giving, sharing and serving body.  There are numerous ways for adults and children to enjoy working with Him in our Parish.  Seek out ways to use your gifts and talents and to encourage your child(ren) to learn the joy of service. 

3)      All children, from toddlers to teens, need to participate in parish life to grow and mature in their love for our Catholic Christian faith.  It is our privilege to provide purposeful environments, through parish-wide events and activities, to help adults and children find groups where they feel they belong.  Take advantage of and participate as a family in the many and varied parish events and activities throughout the year. 

This year, ALL elementary students (grades K-5) will attend classes on Sunday mornings from 9:15-10:45 am.  ALL middle school students, including the 8^th Grade Confirmation Class, will attend classes on Tuesday evenings from 6:30-8:00 pm.  Religious Education classes will be off at least one week each month, so please refer to the RE Calendar to take advantage of travel opportunities.  Classes begin Sept. 20^th.
     Currently, we are only registering parishioners from St. John Bosco Parish and the surrounding Catholic churches who regularly attend Mass.  Fees for RE are as follows:  $50 per student with a maximum of $140 per family.  An additional $35 per Sacramental Preparation Student (generally 2^nd & 8^th grade students) is required to cover multiple retreats, additional materials, and professional photographs.  If you choose, your family may break the fees into payments.
