St. John Bosco Church at 23830 Front Ave., Mattawan, MI 49071 US -
On behalf of St. John Bosco Parish, I would like to welcome you and your family to our parish. We are a medium sized community Church consisting of 400 families. As a small community parish, its members have the advantage to know each other and to grow in friendship and spirituality as we come around the altar to celberate the Eucharist every Sunday. Our emphasis is on community, service and respect for each other regardless pf where we come from. If you are around the area, we would like to invite you to get to know our vibrant community church.
St. John Bosco Parish was established in 1953 with 145 families. Over the years, it has gone through many changes and it's growing everyday along with the Mattawan area and the Mattawan Consolidated School System. We have a faith-filled Religious Education Program coupled with Eucharistic celeberation every Sunday starting from 9:15 in the morning. In addition, there are many vibrant ministries that help build community in our midst.
If you would like to become part of our parish and share your talents with our community, please let us know. Together we can achieve many things for the glory of God. God bless you and we look forward to meeting you and your family in person!
St. Margaret Mary, our mission parish of about 100 families, is located in Marcellus, Michigan, about 17 miles south of Mattawan on M-40. The Mass on Sundays at St Margaret Mary is at 9:30 am.

A vision of Heaven
As Dale McKay was facing death, he spoke to writer Nancy Schertzing about his feelings and his hopes for heaven. Later, Nancy spoke with Dale's widow, Ellen, who shared the joy of their marriage and the moving experience of Dale's death. Their story is filled with love and hope that speaks to all of us.
