Sacrament & Worship Information
Mass Schedule
Weekends: Saturday Vigil: 5:00 p.m.
Sunday: 9:00 & 11:00 a.m.
Holy Days: Consult parish bulletin.
Monday-Friday: 9:00 a.m.
Infant Baptism
Infant baptism is celebrated one Sunday each month fol­lowing the 11:00 Mass. Baptismal instruction is required, and is conducted four times a year. Call the Rectory Office to register for a Baptismal preparation session or to schedule a baptism.
Sacrament of Reconciliation
Saturdays, 4:15-4:45 p.m., or by appointment. Additional opportunities are offered during Advent and Lent.
Anointing of the Sick
Available to the chronically or seriously ill. Call the Rectory Office. An Anointing service is also conducted annually.
Weddings
The Pastor should be consulted before a wedding date is determined. The Diocese of Pittsburgh requires at least a six-month time period prior to the wedding. Contact the Rectory for details. (Those who have been married in a civil ceremony who wish to sacramentalize their mar­riage should contact the Pastor.)
Holy Eucharist
Available to the sick and homebound. Call the Rectory Office.
Holy Orders
The Church is in need of priests and deacons. Feel free to contact the Pastor if you think that you might have a reli­gious vocation.
Funerals
When a loved one is to be buried from St. John Capistran, please contact the Rectory.
Rosary
The Rosary is prayed following each weekday mass in Church.
R.C.I.A. (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) This is a process of prayer, study, and decision for adults who wish to become Catholic, and for baptized Catholics who have not received First Communion or Confir­mation. Contact the Rectory for further information.
Stations of the Cross
This devotion is held on Fridays during Lent at 7:30 p.m.

Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
Bulletin Deadline
Tuesdays by 10:00 a.m.
Mass Intentions
Masses may be offered for a deceased person or a special intention. Schedule these through the Parish Secretary. The requested offering is $10.00 per Mass.
New Parishioners
New Parishioners are welcome to register by contacting the Rectory Office.
A Move or Change of Address
Please notify the Rectory Office if you move or join another parish. It is important for us to keep records that are current.
Religious Education (C.C.D.)
Religious Education classes are offered for children in grades K-8 at various times throughout the week. Registration for CCD is required. Call the Religious Education Office for details.
Book Rack
Pamphlets and booklets offering spiritual reading and educational information are available inside the church vestibule.
Parish Library
Resource material which may be borrowed (e.g. religious books, videos, etc.) is available for all ages in Room C. The sign-up sheet is posted in front of the book racks.
Lost & Found Box
Unclaimed items left in church are placed in the Lost & Found Box in the church vestibule.
