Glory Forever!

Who are we? We are Eastern Catholics, in full communion with the see of St. Peter in Rome and Pope Benedict XVI. We are keeping alive our ancient Christian heritage, which was brought from Constantinople to Kyiv in 988 A.D., by St. Volodymyr (Vladimir) the Great. We welcome all visitors in Christ, but especially our Roman Catholic brethren, with whom we share a bond of ecclesiastical communion and who can, by visiting and worshiping with us, help to fulfill a particular desire of the late Pope John Paul II, who wrote in 1995:

"Since, in fact, we believe that the venerable and ancient tradition of the Eastern Churches is an integral part of the heritage of Christ's Church, the first need for Catholics is to be familiar with that tradition, so as to be nourished by it and to encourage the process of unity [i.e. with the Orthodox Churches] in the best way possible for each." (Orientale Lumen, ch. 1)
