Organizations

Altar Servers
Boys and girls (10 years old or 4th grade and up) and adults of the parish are invited to serve at Masses and other Liturgical events. Contact the parish office for training.

Catholic Alumni Club of Lansing
This is a Lansing area organization of Catholic single women and men, which provides friendship, spiritual and personal growth through a variety of wholesome activities.

Catholic Lawyers Guild
The purposes of the Catholic Lawyers Guild of the Diocese of Lansing are to foster the spiritual growth of its members, to enhance the appreciation and observances of high ethical standards as lawyers, and to provide a forum for the consideration of issues vital to the growth of the members of the Catholic legal community and of the Church in the Diocese of Lansing. Choir
A music group that sings at 10:00 A.M. Mass and for other Liturgical functions. Additional information available under Music on the home page.

Faith Foundations
Classes are held in the spring and fall for those who wish to update their Catholic faith and are required for couples planning to marry.

Food Pantry
Parishioners are asked to bring non-perishable food items on any weekend.  They can be placed in the main entrance of the church.   Donated food is given to Advent House.

Funeral Luncheon Committee 
Adults who prepare luncheons after funerals of parishioners.  There is also a group who coordinates bringing dishes for funerals.  Contact the Parish Office if interested in helping.

Knights of Columbus
The purpose of the Knights is to help Catholic men to grow in their faith by building fraternity among themselves and within the parish community. The focus is to bring Catholic families together in prayer and in activities. For more information: Cathedral Knights and Supreme Council

Lectors, Commentators, Eucharistic Ministers
These groups assist at Liturgies on Sunday, Holy Days and weekdays. Those interested in assisting in any of these areas may contact the parish office for training information.

Parish Council
The function of the Parish Council is to coordinate and promote all activities with the parish. The Council does this through the efforts of council members who serve on Christian Life, Spiritual Development and Parish Life sub-committees.

Parish Historical Society 
Contact the Parish Office for information on St. Mary Cathedral Parish and the St. Mary Historical Museum.

Right to Life
A committee that advocates and promotes the protection of life from birth to death. For more information: Right to Life of Michigan

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (R.C.I.A.)
Classes are held from September to Easter for those who have been baptized in another Christian tradition or have never been baptized and desire to become Catholic. Sponsors are needed for this program. Contact the Parish Office for more information.

St. Thomas More Society
A Catholic organization of Thomas M. Cooley Law School students committed to promoting the fundamental Judeo-Christian values of faith and justice as an integral focus of legal concerns and careers. St. Vincent De Paul Society
A society that provides assistance to the needy. Both men and women are welcome to join. The society meets on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 P.M.

Totus Tuus
Young adults (18-30s) from Lansing parishes are invited to come together under the patronage of the Blessed Virgin Mary to draw closer to Jesus Christ and share the Cathlic faith in prayer, fellowship and service.  Totus Tuus is Latin for "Totally Yours."

Ushers/Greeters 
Men and women of the parish who assist at Liturgical services in the role of greeters and in taking up the collection.
