Primary Calenday Pre through 1st Grade Religious Education opens on Catechetical Sunday, September 20, 2009. Our Bishops have determined that the theme of this year is “Catechesis and the Proclamation of the Word.” Our catechists will be commissioned on this Sunday at the 10:00 Mass. Through the generosity of so many leaders, St. Mary is able to offer a rich variety of catechetical offerings. There is a place for you whatever your age or interests. Please join with others on our journey of faith. Our nursery for the very young is a parent run service coordinated by Jennifer and Nick Schumann along with Melissa and Dan Bowles. Parents are an integral part of this service which is available during the 10:00 Mass on Sundays. Religious Education for pre-school through first grade children will begin on Sunday, September 27th Elementary children in grades two through five are welcome on either Tuesday or Thursday after school. These classes begin on either the 22nd or the 24th of September. Youth in grades six, seven and eight will begin their sessions on Sunday, Sept. 20th following the 10:00 Mass. If your child attended Religious Education classes last year, they are registered for this year. We need to hear from you if you have a child just beginning religious education or if you are requesting a change for Tuesday or Thursday. Packets will be mailed in the first week of September with information on your son or daughter’s class time. Also, a variety of opportunities for adult faith formation are available. Please check the bulletin and calendars (available in the back of church with particular offerings.
