Parish Nurses offer blood pressure checks once a month and coordinate Red Cross Blood Drives. Funeral luncheons are provided after each funeral. Volunteers cook and serve the meals. The food pantry is available for those in need of food. It is open every Friday from 11:00-1:00. The clothing closet offers free clothing. It is open every Friday from 11:00-1:00. The Welcome Committee contacts newly registered members of the parish, provides them with information, assesses their needs and plans welcoming activities. Alcoholics Anonymous meets in the parish hall on Monday and Thursday evenings at 8:00 p.m. Home visitors volunteer to visit the homebound, and those in hospitals and nursing homes. Holiday food baskets are provided for those in need at Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter. Advent Giving Tree provides clothing and toys for children in need each Christmas. The Happy Folks group is comprised of single, senior adults and meet monthly to share ideas, and concerns. Catholic Charities of Adrian coordinates counseling for all parishes of Lenawee County. Right to Life Rose Sale is held on Mothers Day each year. Community Baby Shower is held in the Spring to provide layettes for parents in need to assist in caring for their newborns. It is a jointly sponsored event with churches, Jackson Interfaith Shelter, and the Stork Club of Foote Hospital. Public Relations volunteers keep our parish in the spotlight by having periodic radio spots of parish events, and by placing parish brochures and posters in public buildings and tourist spots.
