Leadership and volunteerism are the expectations for the oldest students of our school. It is hopeful that, as they study Church and prepare for Confirmation, attitudes and actions become outward signs of their Catholic Christian faith. Preparation for a successful career in high school is a major priority in all classes. The study of American history introduces students to the values and beliefs of our founding fathers. It teaches civic responsibility as another aspect of their lives, so they may become good contributing members of society.
Geography, in sixth and seventh grade, opens minds and hearts to
our ever growing global community. It exposes students to the greatness of God's creation, international concerns, current events, and the concept of social justice.
English and vocabulary, for sixth graders, stresses word usage and understanding. It includes learning parts of speech through the use of diagraming. Sentence structure and paragraph writing are integral parts of the curriculum.
