The Official Web Site for the Archdiocese of Detroit Gabriel Richard High School The Gabriel Richard community is made up of 464 students and 42 faculty and staff members. The student body is drawn primarily from Southern Wayne County. Founded in 1965, GR graduated its first senior class in 1969. Today, our graduates number more than 5,000 serving in a variety of business, civic, educational, medical and religious professions. Over 90% of these men and women have furthered their education at a college or university. Sacred Heart Major Seminary For eight decades, thousands of Sacred Heart graduates have been ordained for priestly ministry, with hearts patterned after the Sacred Heart of Jesus, the Good Shepherd. They have been sent out into the vineyard of the Archdiocese of Detroit, and in the fertile fields of dioceses and archdioceses throughout the country.
