Welcome
Thank you for visiting the St. Maximilian Kolbe CCW web site. We have created this site especially for YOU! We encourage you to explore this website and take full advantage of the information available to help us serve you.
Welcome to CCW!
Whether you are a current member, soon-to-be member or a new friend who simply landed on our webpage, we are glad you stopped by! This September we are wishing everyone a “Happy New Year” as we begin our new year of programs, projects, outreach, service and FUN! The Council of Catholic Women is a ministry where women of many talents, interests and backgrounds come together to share their gifts, ideas and experiences. The National Council of Catholic Women inspires the ideals of improving service, spirituality and leadership and we fulfill these goals locally through a variety of programs, projects and monthly activities that are important to our members, parish and community at large. Make this the year you get involved. Attend a monthly program meeting (each month offers a different program on important issues for women of faith), volunteer for one of our community outreach projects, enjoy a special event or join a “ladies only just-for-fun group” like lunch bunch or bunco. Just like our theme for the 2011-2012 year, our CCW really is FAITH AND FUN ROLLED INTO ONE!
We endeavor to be agents of change for problems like Human Trafficking and Hunger in the Local Community and still make time for Lectio-Meditation, Christmas Caroling and Ziplining. CCW really is a group like no other! Our projects this year include Just One Book, Cell Phones for Crisis Outreach, Angel Tree, School Backpack Drive, Blessing of the Pets, Catholic Days at the Capitol, Hospice support and so much more.
I have had the opportunity to be involved with the Council of Catholic Women for several years now and I can honestly say that it just keeps getting better all the time! Like many of you, I feel the pressure of time demands, a busy family, competing interests and more yet the time I spend with Council Sisters always seems to provide renewal, joy and laughter when it’s needed the most! For me, the experiences found in the CCW ministry are like the popular commercial….Priceless.
Take a look at the diverse offerings we have planned this year. This could be the year that you learn something new, allow your talents to inspire others, make an unexpected new friend or grow even stronger in your faith by taking it a little farther than attending Sunday Mass. Our monthly meeting invitation is always posted in the church newsletter and you can also reach us by using the contact form here on the website.
I hope this is your best “new year” ever and we hope to see you soon at a CCW event!
Blessings,
