Central State Street Ecumencial Cluster
St. Paul's is part of the Central State Street Ecumenical Cluster, formed in 1996. The cluster consists of churches serving the State Street corridor from Brandywine Avenue outwards. Other participating churches are:
- St. Luke's Roman Catholic Church
- Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church
- Tabernacle Baptist Church
- Stanford Methodist Church
The mission of the cluster is to provide a forum for expression of concerns about and proposals to aid the area based on our baptismal call as Christians.
In collaboration with the Schenectady Inner City Ministry (SICM), the cluster sponsors a children's summer lunch program site staffed by volunteers from member churches, holds an ice cream social for area children and sponsors a yearly Christian Unity Week Service at one of the member churches. (For more information about Cluster services and events, please contact Jim Bedard at 393-9736)
