The Catholic Public Square † at 7 Harwood Ct., Fredericksburg, VA 22405 US - About The Catholic Public Square

About The Catholic Public Square
† The Catholic Public Square is in its infancy. Being formed originally about three years ago, it has only recently reached beyond our own diocese, extending into national and internatinal issues. The founder is active in several organizations such as the Family Research Council, The Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights, The Catholic Business Network of Central Virginia, the Catholic Writers' Assn., Thomas More Law Foundation, The Society for Scholarly Publishing, Militia Immaculata, and others. In order to have one organization in which to work on the most urgent of issues addressed by numerous wonderful organizations, two people originally conceived and formed † The Catholic Public Square. The purpose is to address those issues that pertain to public policy and government, and to do so in a very timely manner. Importantly, this work is done in a way that people can understand without having to have a degree in theology or Canon Law, but still learn more about their faith than one can obtain by simply going to Mass each week. It is important to answer peoples' questions that they may not have the time to research for themselves, and to present answers in accordance with Church teachings. Prior to the national election of 2004, articles and scholarly papers were written and published addressing issues that Catholics are obligated to vote for - or against, regardless of political party affiliations. Other documents have also been written addressing abortion, marriage and divorce, artificial contraception, sin and temptation, and others. We are seeking other like-minded people who are interested in researching and writing about these issues and are faithful to the Magisterium of the Church. We are in the general Washington, DC metro area and so are poised to address the "hot button" issues as they arise in a venue that can make a difference. We welcome your interest! If you have questions or would like to provide support in any of a variety of ways, please go to the "Contact us" page and send us a note, or write to us at the address or email below. We'd love to hear from you! Randy Noller † The Catholic Public Square 7 Harwood Ct. Fredericksburg, VA 22405 Email: PublicSquare@Catholic.Org Tel. (703) 650-0726 Fax (703) 842-8150
