We wish to thank your Parish family for the great abundance of food they collected. I was dumbfounded to see the bags that they delivered.
We have put the groceries to good use. Our guests will enjoy the variety of products collected.
It has taken us some time to find space for all of it, but we will try.
Again thank you and may God bless the efforts of all your people.
Yours truly,
Jim Jones, Director

The other day I was thinking about all of you at Transfiguration Parish and I found myslef seeing you as the Magi!
Here you are in Maspeth, giving gifts to children in Fort Greene ... I wonder if the Magi had any idea of what they were starting! For you, ecah child is Christ to whom you give with so much generosity. Thak you!
Many good wishes for all of God's blessings,

Catholic Charities thanks you, Fr. Vytas, the Holy Name Society and all the wonderful parishioners of Transfiguration for the generous donation of winter coats for the homeless. The Outreach Team of Catholic Charities was most pleased to be chosen to provide the service of distributing the coats to the homeless.
Thanks to the generous donation, we were able to reach out to the communities of Maspeth, Middle Village, Ridgewood, Woodside, Flushing, Astoria, Jackson Heights & Elmhurst. Despite the difficulties associated with homelessness, the smiles on the faces when receiving a coat was precious.
May God continue to bless you and the parishioners of Transfiguration and to help all of us in our work, as His servants.
Sincerely,
Arthur Griffin, Catholic Charities Outreach Dept.

Dear Fr. Rooney,
We are really thankful to you and your Parish of Transfiguration for the help to fund the journey of young people to the XVII World Youth Day in Toronto from our St. Francis of Assisi Parish Youth Choir. Your generosity touched us deeply and once again witnessed your great and opened heart always eager to stay close to those in need.
We pray for God's blessing to your Parish of Transfiguration and its benefactors.
Sincerely,
Fr. Astijus Kungys, ofm, Pastor
