Thank–you to everyone who has contributed to the Seminarian Fund in the past. To clear up any confusion for our new members, the donation cards are sent to the requestor so the requestor can send the card along to the intended. Donation cards can be Memorial Cards, Birthday Cards, Get Well Cards, Baby Cards, Graduation Cards, Communion or Confirmation Cards or any Special Occasion Card, really. What they are NOT are Mass Cards. The Seminarians are studying to be priests so they are not yet allowed to say Mass until their First Mass after graduation from the Seminary. The donations you send help a Seminary reach the Priesthood and offer scholarship funds for those families unable to pay for their education. This funding is essential to help these fine young men achieve Priest status in our world so short of Priests. The Seminarian Fund is a Non-Profit entity so you are able to deduct this donation, like any other donation to the Catholic Church, on your Federal Income Tax return. The next time that you are planning to send someone a note of cheer ot a sympathy card, I hope that you remember our young Seminarians and not only donate to their education and clothing by way of this Seminarian Fund but also please remember them in your prayers.
