International Award

International Awareness Emblem The International Catholic Conference of Scouting, a world-wide organization, offers a Pin and Patch Activity Recognition for Cub Scouts, and a Medallion and Patch Activity Recognition for Boy Scouts, Venturing, and Scouters. These pins and medallions are offered to any Cub, Scout, Venturing, or Scouter in recognition for increased awareness of Scouting in the Catholic Church throughout the world. The International Catholic Conference of Scouting provides an opportunity for its members to meet together as friends in the Catholic Church. It links the Catholic Church and the Scouting Movement all over the world. It contributes to the complete education of young people through Scouting from the point of view of the Catholic faith. It develops and enhances the spiritual dimension of Scouting in the World Scout Movement. The Pope appoints priests to work with the International Catholic Conference of Scouting as chaplains or ecclesiastical associates. The World Chaplain for Catholic Scouting is Monsignor Robert Guglielmone of Wantagh, New York. The Chaplain for the Inter-American Region is Rev. Leo LeBlanc of Manchester, New Hampshire. Funds generated by this program will further the work of the International Catholic Conference of Scouting.
