Mission Statement

To build bridges of understanding, appreciation and love among cultures, faith traditions, social status,

and with God, fostering wholeness and holiness,

thus, bring healing to people’s hearts and peace to their relationships.

The  “Oasis Católico Santa Rafaela”  was founded by the Handmaids of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, an international order of Catholic Sisters, in September 2002. Since then, the Sisters have been serving the families of the community with the help of many volunteers, various partnerships, and generous donations.

 The services offered at Oasis touch the basic human needs such as: distribution of food, diapers, used clothing, furniture, appliances, interpretive services and transportation.  We support social aspects through fiestas, and advocacy. We nourish the intellect through help to children with school work, ESOL for mothers, and other special programs. Of course, we provide for the spirit with worship opportunities, religious instruction, and sacramental preparation.

We also offer vocation discernment opportunities through discernment internships, and retreats.
