St. Agatha Academy - Library at 244 South Main Street, Winchester, KY 40391 US - Home
Welcome to the St. Agatha Academy Library!
The goal of the St. Agatha Academy Library is to encourage and support the love of reading and to develop useful research skills our students can take on their journey through life.
As parents, it is our job to help reinforce the importance of reading at home. Here are some ways you can support your children and encourage good reading skills:
- Carve out time in your busy lives for reading daily. Reading at night is a great way to calm down! Grades 2,3 should be reading 20 minutes. Older students should read at least 30 minutes per night.
- Take your child to the Clark County Public Library to regularly check-out books - they are free!
- Be a reading role model. Turn off the TV, computers, ipods, etc. and have the whole family read together.
- Go to my favorite website readkiddoread.com for age-appropriate book reviews and recommendations for favorite books.
