The Council of Catholic Women, organized at the parish, the diocesan and the national level, is a membership organization for women who are aware of and wish to become involved in the social, economic and environmental issues of today’s world. Educational and faith-enriching programs, available at each level of the organization, guide Catholic women in the implementation of the directives of our Holy Father and the bishops, and at the same time, provide them with the opportunity of making significant contributions to the work of our Catholic Church. The theme this year of the Diocesan Council of Catholic Women is United by Faith, Bound by Love. Catholic women, through their shared faith and graced by God’s love, have the potential through Council programs to bring unity and new blessings to their parishes. Often they are asked to represent their parish at the diocesan or national level. Please give serious consideration to becoming a member of the CCW affiliate at your parish, or if membership is not currently available, I encourage you to speak to your pastor about the possibility of reinstating a parish chapter or establishing a new one.
