St. Anthony's Church at 1640 Western Ave, San Bernardino, CA 92411 US - Home

Welcome to St. Anthony's Church, San Bernardino. CA
St. Anthony, San Bernardino, was founded by Fr. Michael Brown in 1948. There was considerable racial diversity from the beginning, with African-Americans and Mexican-Americans predominating. The Divine Word Missionaries assumed responsibility for the parish in the early ‘80s. A number of Divine Word Missionary priests have ministered in the parish since then. The present pastor is Fr. Michael Manning, SVD and the parochial vicar is Fr. Anthony Hayon S.V.D. Organizations that played significant roles in the life of the parish include the Knights of Columbus, The Knights and Ladies Auxiliary of St. Peter Claver, the Holy Name Society, The Women’s Fellowship Guild, the Guadalupanos, the Gospel, Youth and Children’s Choirs and other groups that comprise the Hispanic ministries. The school has made a significant contribution to the life of the parish and local community since, under the leadership of Fr. Kaiserauer, the Mercy Sisters came to staff the school. The current principal Sr. Betty McGovern, was honored as the outstanding principal of the Diocese for the 2000-2001 school year. This is our home on the Internet. Here you will find the latest news and information about the church. Please take a moment to visit the online Calendar for upcoming events and our News page for featured articles.
