WELCOME TO AQUINAS
Aquinas School at St. Andrew's established in 1966, is a fully accredited PK-8 grade school renowned throughout the Greater Calumet Region and State of Indiana. Due to our long standing record of excellence, our school draws students from twelve different communities, which yields a desired level of diversity that prepares our students for the global society we now live in.
The school community at Aquinas School at St. Andrew's is an integral part of the church's mission to proclaim the Gospel, build faith communities, give service to others, and celebrate through worship. As a unique, faith-centered community, our school's Catholic identity is strengthened by an integrated curriculum rooted in Gospel values and Catholic teachings.

ACADEMICS
Aquinas School students benefit immensely from a favorable student to teacher ratio, which currently is 14 to 1. Our dedicated faculty possesses a wealth of knowledge and experience to address the diverse needs and interests of our students. Our lack of faculty turnover is reflective of the tight knit family atmosphere our school community is known for.
Our students' level of academic achievement is renowned throughout Northwest Indiana and reflected by our "Exemplary School" status. Our students perform well above all of the academic benchmarks promulgated by the State of Indiana.
Our challenging curriculum is aligned with the Indiana Academic Standards. We are intentional about extending and enriching our K-8 curriculum to ensure each child is properly motivated and challenged throughout their tenure at Aquinas School. Providing our students with expanded opportunities for success remains a top priority.
ACTIVITIES
Aquinas School students are encouraged to become involved in a myriad of extracurricular activities, such as, our school's athletic teams (volleyball, soccer, basketball), Spelling Bee, Geography Bee, Student Council, Student Tutors, Safety Patrol, School Newspaper, philanthropic and faith activities, and a host of others.
These opportunities serve to build character, friendships, and a strong sense of commitment to community.
