Archbishop Paul Leibold Assembly #1621 at 1800 Ohio Pike, Amelia, OH 45102-2019 US - Oldest Living Veteran in St. Mary parish in Bethel was honored on Veteran's Day

To celebrate this year's Veteran's Day, we chose PFC(Ret) John Shafer as the "class honoree" representing all those veterans who have defended our Country during the American Revolution up to our current crisis. In attendance was the 90 year old WWII Veteran who served our Country from 1941 until 1945 and saw action in the South Pacific.
 
Mr. Shafer was presented with a framed Patriotic Service Award from the 4th Degree Knights of Comumbus as well as an American flag that was flown atop our Capitol building in Washing, D.C.

The 4th Degree Color Corpsmen of Archbishop Leibold Assembly acted as Honor Guards for this important recognition of all those who have kept us a free and independent Country, true to our faith, and devoted to the principles and practice of freedom, justice and democracy.
