+ Kapitan, Mary Krych age 80 of Cleveland, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, January 25, 2005 at Algart Health Care Facility in Cleveland. Mary was born September 15, 1924 in Cleveland, OH, the son of Andrew and Mary Rose Krych, immigrants from the Ukraine and Poland. She retired from Lamp Nursing Home in Brook Park, Ohio after 10 years of service. Mary was a life long resident of Cleveland, Ohio after graduating from Lincoln High School in 1945. Mary was an very proud intelligent woman who loved animals and had a very strong devotion to the Theotokos and her Son, Jesus. She is survived by her son, the priest John, Jr. and her former husband, John, Sr. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother Peter and her sisters Anna and Olga. Her Requiem Divine Liturgy was held 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 28, 2005 at Saint Gregory the Theologian Byzantine Catholic Church, Lakewood, Ohio. His Grace + John, the Eparch of Parma along with her son Fr. John, the Eparchial Protosyncellus and other Cleveland area clergy concelebrated with Bishop John. Interment followed in Holy Spirit Byzantine Catholic Cemetery, Parma, Ohio.
