The Apostles Fast (Petrovka) begins the day after All Saints Sunday, June 04, 2007 and continues through June 28, 2007. The suggested days of Strict Fast are Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Strict Fast means no meat and no dairy products. The Council of Hierarchs has deemed this as one of the Four Annual Penitential Fasting Periods of the Liturgical Year. This fast may be observed voluntarily.
