Belleville Cursillo Movement at PO Box 331, St. Libory, IL 62282 US - Men's Cursillo #29, 2009

I hope that this finds you all in good health and spirit! I can’t begin to tell you what a privilege it was to serve with the Christian men of Belleville Men’s Cursillo #29. My thanks to everyone; God, my wife Josie, the women and men of the Secretariat, Spiritual Directors and fellow Cursillistas for their assistance, guidance and Palanca before, during and after the weekend. Despite the Rector describing the weekend as a “Short Curse” vs. “course” in Christianity, all went well. Oh My! (Would Father Robert ever let me live that down?)

To be part of a group such as Cursillo that devotes itself to raising the awareness of Christ in our lives is truly a blessing. It is a lesson for us all on how to carry on His mission. In just a few short days we will hear Jesus tell his apostles, “I have given you a model to follow, so that as I have done for you, you should also do.” (John 13:15) Cursillo gives us a method for carrying out that commission. I pray that the renewal we experienced on our weekends has sustained us through our Lenten observances and helped prepare us for the Joy of Easter Morning and beyond. Please continue to pray for all our new Cursillistas, especially those experiencing hardships in their lives.
