Hurricane Katrina The Knights of Columbus Supreme Council has announced the largest disaster relief effort in its history. The Order has pledged a minimum of $2.5 million in financial assistance and is challenging local Knights to contribute to the Knights of Columbus Katrina Relief Fund in an amount equal to or greater than the Order's pledge Highlights of Knights of Columbus Aid Plan $1.25 milliion to assist those displaced and made indefinitely homeless by Hurricane Katrina $250,000 in immediate aid to Catholic Charities in affected areas $1 million to help rebuild Catholic schools Supreme Council will match contributions in excess of $2.5 million made within 60 days of Sept. 2.
