Diocese of Birmingham - Catholic Schools Office at 2121 3rd Avenue North, Birmingham, AL 35203 US - Home

Welcome to Our Website

Note from the Superintendent:

Welcome to the Diocese of Birmingham in Alabama Catholic Schools. We offer a quality Catholic education steeped in the love of Christ. There are 27 schools under the jurisdiction of the Catholic Schools Office.  We have six early childhood learning centers, five high schools and 16 elementary schools. Our schools are located in Lauderdale, Madison, Morgan, Cullman, Etowah, Calhoun, Tuscaloosa, Jefferson and Shelby Counties.
All students are immersed in Catholic tradition and teachings. Our goal is to make loving disciples who will continue to grow in wisdom and knowledge. We want our students to be beacons of light and ambassadors of hope in a world fraught with challenges and disappointments.
In addition to academics, our schools offer a menu of sports and fine arts programs. Our field trips enrich and strengthen our academic program.
Primary to our role as Catholic schools is service. All of our students participate in a variety of class and school service projects.
Yours in Christ,
Fran Lawlor
Superintendent of Schools
