Blessed Sacrament Parish, La Crosse at 130 S. Losey Blvd., La Crosse, WI 54601 US - August 25, 2002

August 25, 2002

August 25, 2002 21st SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME During this week we received the first family newsletter and calendar for the new school year. Kay Berra and her staff are ready for another school year. It is such a blessing to our students, their parents, and our whole parish that we have such a great school in the system of CCS. It is the most important thing that will ever happen in the educational lives of our young people - a very good start in the primary years of their education. The foundation of a building is what everything else rests on; our students are in the foundation building years of their educational experience. The part of that foundation which justifies the great cost of our own school and the school system is their religious education. With the text books chosen and the extraordinary moments of prayer and the celebration of the sacraments to which the children are exposed, we try our best to make certain your children's religious education is firmly grounded. In this matter the parents have an indispensable role to play. Prayer at home, discussion of what the children have learned in their religion classes, Sunday Mass as a family, charity, kindness, respect, courtesy lived at home are so very important as to be irreplaceable. Let us pray that the coming school year will be the best ever. + + + + + + + + + Morning Prayer Monday - Friday, 7:00 am, in church beginning September 3. Prayer books will be available.
