The registration of students to the centre started well on 25^th October 2011.

The diocese of Bukoba is grateful to the Tanzania Episcopal Conference which accepted the request of Bishop Nestor Timanywa to open a university college in Bukoba Diocese. In particular many thanks have to go to Rev. Dr. Charles Kitima, the Vice Chancellor of St. Augustine University, who did all he could in spite of many obstacles to open this center which has to grow into a university college.

The college is situated at Nkindo about 4 kilometers outside of Bukoba town. This was formerly a Teachers Training College. The diocese moved the college to Kashozi Homecraft to give place to the university college.Kashozi Homecraft had also to move. In this we thank all who are helping us to do this.

Nkindo is a beautiful and spacious place. The weather in wonderful, the temperatures are between 20 – 27 degrees centigrade so ideal for study all the year round.
