Catholic Community of St. Jude at 801 North Bridge Street, DeWitt, MI 48820 US - Services and Programs

Services and Programs

Pastoral Care of the Sick: As a community we are committed to caring for those suffering from illness or injury. Please call the parish office if you are hospitalized or confined at home and would like to receive the Anointing of the Sick. Regular visits from a Eucharistic minister to the homebound, Fr. Dwight, Deacon Ted, and or Terry Humenik can also be arranged by contacting the parish office.

Helping Hands Ministry: Volunteers are available to help people in their homes with housekeeping, meals, and errands while recovering from surgery or illness. Please contact the parish office for assistance or to become a volunteer.

Homebound Ministers: Eucharistic ministers who take communion to the homebound. Please contact the parish office to request a visit from one of our ministers or to volunteer.

Prayer Line: The Parish Prayer Line is a special effort by numerous parishoners who have volunteered to pray daily for the needs of others. Through a systematic communication chain, names and prayer needs are passed along, resulting in hundreds of prayers for each person or cause. Do you need extraordinary prayers? Are you willing to offer some of your daily prayer time to the prayer chain? Please contact the Parish office.

Food Pantry for those in need from the surrounding communities. All that is required is a picture ID. The pantry is open during regular business hours. We also accept non perishible food and personal care item donations to the pantry at any time during regular business hours. On Sunday's you can bring your donations with you to mass and place them in the baskets at the rear of the church.

Nursery: The parents of young children and infants and mentor groups volunteer to provide this ministry during the Sunday morning Masses. Volunteers are scheduled on a rotating basis. Please contact the Religious Formation Office at 517-669-8335 ext. 17.
