Through the Ministries of Mercy, "Shelter Ministry," Catholic Charities Shelters of Hope provide a safe, living environment which families can turn to when living on a limited income, facing a disability, encounter a crisis situation, or find themselves on the streets.



Bethany Family Apartments:
Provide comprehensive supportive services to homeless families with disabilities leading to self-sufficiency and independent living in permanent housing. Click here for more information.


HIV/AIDS Housing Services: The HIV/AIDS Program offers a comprehensive continuum of housing and related supportive services including Emergency Rent and Utilities Assistance, Transitional and Permanent Housing. Click here for more information.




Housing Counseling: Catholic Charities Housing Counseling Program provides education and training related to issues surrounding homeownership, budgeting, and finance. This service specifically provides a full range of HUD-approved housing counseling services to include credit and debt counseling, first-time homebuyer education, default/foreclosure counseling, reverse mortgage counseling for seniors, rental and counseling. HUD 202 Service Coordination: Hud 202 service coordinators help the residents of the elderly housing facilities maned by Catholic Charities to obtain assistance with food stamps and welfare, medical, transportation, and other needs they may have. Click here for more information.

Pasco FIX Program: The Pasco FIX program assists individuals or families who own their homes in obtaining a 0% loan up to $5,000 from the Community Development Department to repair their homes. Click here for more information.

Pinellas Hope I and II: is a temporary emergency shelter for over 250 homeless men and women, located in Clearwater provided by Bishop Robert Lynch and the Diocese of St. Petersburg. Click here for more information.

Pinellas Village: provides safe, affordable housing to single parents over the age of 18 with children under the age of 18. Residency is limited to parents with less than five children. Click here for more information.

San Jose Mission: San Jose Mission is a residential community composed of 122 rental units that provide housing for low income families involved in the agriculture or aquaculture industries. In addition, Catholic Charities provides counseling, housing counseling, immigration services, life skills education, and case management to the families. Click here for more information.
