Formed in the fall of 2006, the Diocesan Commission for Women serves in an advisory capacity, representing the perspective of women, like you, throughout the many parishes of the Diocese of Lexington.

As a woman, you bring to the church and the community a unique and essential perspective.

The Diocesan Commission for Women strives to:

  • Acknowledge issues in the Church and society of concern to women;
  • Reflect on the roles of women in the Church and in society;
  • Lead the Diocese in recognizing the authentic dignity of women; and
  • Serve as a resource for the spiritual and personal formation of women.
