The purpose of the Community Affairs Commission is to integrate the Catholic Church's social mission into the life of the parish and to help the parish witness to the love of God and neighbor both within and beyond the parish community. To accomplish its purposes, the Commission:
Provides direct service by helping people survive their own crisis by:
1) Advocacy - Speaking for those who have no voice in the social arena.
2) Charity & Outreach - Providing the basic necessities to help people survive in the existing system.
1) Organizing and developing - Organizing for effective action in the public arena.
2) Solidarity - living with and for the oppressed, empowering the oppressed and provoking personal conversion in them.
