Grade 2 Class Room 11 at 104 W. Dorothy Lane, Kettering, OH 45429 US - Discipline Rules
| Discipline Rules |
The school has decided to have discipline rules ( Eight Steps to Success) that are the same throughout the building. All classes will have the same dicipline policy. The rules are as follows:
1. Respect yourself, others, and property.
2. Listen carefully. Follow directions first time given.
3. Raise your hand to ask a question and wait to be called upon.
4. Stay in your seat.
5. Walk in line quietly in the hallway.
6. Keep your hands, feet, and objects to yourself.
7. Come prepared for class: In uniform, on time, and with needed supplies.
8. Remain silent and repectfull during prayers and announcements.
Positive rewards will be given for appropriate behavior.
Individual Rewards- A stamp of approval on their calendar for the day, verbal praise, stickers, positive notes, and some small rewards (eraser, pencil, a small treat).
Classroom Rewards- May be popcorn parties, free time, special art activity, or ice cream treats.
Consequences will include-
1. No stamp on the calendar for the day.
2. A note coming home telling you about the problem
3. A time out at a desk near my desk.
4. Lose a recess if homework is not turned in. They will have to do the homework during recess, take it home to be signed by you, and then returned the next day.
The children will bring home a calendar that will attached to their home folder. I will stamp the date if it has been a good day with no problems. If something needs to be taken care of, I will write it on the date instead. Please look for this calendar, read it over with your child, and initial it. There will also be a paper coming home in the Monday folder with all your child's work in it for last week. Please go over the behavior paper with your child, sign it and return this folder on Tuesday. I will keep it in my files for each quarter. This gives us a good record of how your child is doing. We will be working on these rules the first 2 weeks of school. I will have the children make rule books in Social Studies, and we will discuss what the rules mean. Please go over these rules with them also. I feel this is a good way to start the year.
