As an upper level math teacher, my main goals for my students are to challenge them academically and to prepare them for high school.  There will be a focus on solving story problems, making connections between topics, and using logical thinking skills.  I will also be teaching students math study skills and stressing the importance of taking more responsibility for one's own education.  I'm hoping to give them all the tools they need to do well in high school.
