I am delighted to have you visit my sixth and seventh grade Language Arts website. Here you will find the latest news and information about my classes.

Make sure to regularly visit the NEWS link in the top right hand corner of my homepage.  Here you you will find Weekly Newletter, which is my Language Arts portion of our Sixth Grade News.  For convenience, all seventh grade information will be listed under 7th Grade Newsletter, which is also located in the top right hand corner of my homepage.

The CALENDAR page is helpful as an overview of upcoming events and long-term assignments for both sixth and my seventh grade Language Arts classes. 

Using my LINKS page, you are able to easily access websites of teachers involved in any way with teaching sixth graders. Also on my LINKS page I have included author websites for the authors whose books we read in sixth grade. In addition, you will find websites that contain introductory and review information about Language Arts concepts as well as practice games and activities to strengthen Language Arts skills.

My ENGLISH and VOCABULARY pages include 6th grade information regarding what is covered throughout the school year in those subject areas.  On my READING pages, the most current novel study is explained and the instructions/guidelines for the current quarterly book report assignment is given.  I have also included the criteria explaining how each Language Arts subject area will be evaluated.  My seventh grade Language Arts classes will follow the same criteria for grading. Basic skills will be covered in the same sequence as listed for sixth grade, although the level of difficulty and expectations of students will be elevated.
