Pray for Father Charles Howell for his decisions concerning our 161 years old city church. Our church family needs an office building for our parish ataff and school staff. The old office building has a leaking roof and consumer energy at a very high rate. A new office building would save around $40,000.00 per year on energy cost, repairs (roof leaks, lighting, fire alarm system, security system, heating & cooling systems.

Good Shepherd School now has moved to a new school located out of town off of US 421.
Our 161 years old Catholic Church is one of the most beautiful churchs in the Nation. Stained glass windows, wood pews and an organ like nothing near as good in most churchs.
In Rome, Italy the Catholics care about their history. unlike most of the chosen 30 of Good Shepherd Church, that make decisions that are truly NOT in the best interest for the future of our Old Downtown Church. As it appears now we may lose our Downtown Catholic Church, which means no Catholic masses, weddings or funerals there. The pews will be removed, the statue of Jesus , Joseph and Mary will be removed from the worship place. Is this what the Pope would want? He cares about the history of the Catholic Churches as you can see in Rome, Italy and at the vatican.
Pray for Bishop Rondal Gainer to care about our old Catholic Church and to keep it as a Catholic Church.
Pray for our 160 years of history.

God, our Father, protector of the poor and defender of the widow and orphan, you called your priest, Father Michael J. McGivney, to be an apostle of Christian family life and to lead the young to the generous service of their neighbor. Through the example of his life and virtue may we follow your Son, Jesus Christ, more closely, fulfilling his commandment of charity and building up his Body which is the Church. Let the inspiration of your servant prompt us to greater confidence in your love so that we may continue his work of caring for the needy and the outcast. We humbly ask that you glorify your servant Father Michael J. McGivney on earth according to the design of your holy will. Through his intercession, grant the favor I now present (here make your request). Through Christ our Lord. Amen. Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory be.
